Older versions

We are right now in the time of a transition period, between Android Kitkat and Android L, so maybe we should talk about transitioning from the version of Sygic, our most favorite GPS go to application when we just want to make in time to a certain city, or a daily job that is out of town.

Older version are available for download, too

Older versions are available, but not 100%. Why? Because newest version of a certain software has a reason why it was published to the public via app market, or blogs like this.

olderversion
It wasn't easy finding a image of this, older version running on not so high end smartphones, you should expect latest iPhone or Galaxy in a picture like this, but no, there are actually older smartphones that also use Sygic, and it works. No wonder there. That also has a reason, company Sygic thinks actually of everyone when developing software, they can and will, probably because there software isn't really free, they get payed for it. People buy it = more people working on bug fixing, version testing and etc. That makes use happy about their new app.

So the question is, should you use the newer or the older one on your phone? Depends, if you already have installed Sygic on not anymore a new phone, maybe you shouldn't update so fast without even looking around, but still when they make this new version they don't publish it unless it works on every single phone.

Android L update spotlight

Some call it Lollipop, some Licorice, some that, some what, but the full name doesn't really matter as much what comes in a new Android update and how will that overall affect on our smartphones.
Big changes are happening from visual style, animations and such to hardware perfomance because it will actually be 64-bit, just like Apple's latest iOS. That means a lot, cause most computers aren't even 32bit yet and yet something we hold in our pocket is.

androidl
Android L was revealed by Google back in June, with the first time giving developers and opportunity to test it out on their own devices, such as Nexus 5 and Nexus 7. The design, yes that where it comes to since we actually do look at our phones all the time, design language is called and referred to as Material design (while the Windows Phone design is called Metro, or sometimes even modern). It all looks flat and there are some handy improvement such as accessing your notifications even from the lock screen and actually interacting with them. Imagine a situation in which you get a message on Whatsapp and you want to take a quick picture, well you can do it from the lock screen.

You may wonder how will the GPS apps work on Android L, well the same as they did on the older versions, only the will probably look better since they will get updated to this new interface Google is pushing to our eyes, and yes we like that since it will be a lot easier to look at. Modern icons, bigger typography and clean colors, that's a good design in short.

All of Google product apps will be updated and modernized, can't wait to see what gMail looks like! If you are still wondering about the name, if it doesn't come out sponsored as last one it will probably be Lollipop.
